Essays
Most of my essays need review because I am still editing all my work.
Freewriting
From all types of prewriting, freewriting is my favorite. I also like brainstorming and mapping out my ideas. This mapping is one of my recent ones, as it has been 20 years since I moved to the USA.
Outline
The outline is the backbone of your essay. Outlines help to list the topics and examples to provide credibility to your work.
Heading and Header
Re-learning how to format the document was one of the most tedious things I have ever done. However, I learned discipline and how to use Word.
Narrative
Recalling one of my favorite writing genres: narration. As I gain new experiences, I keep journals for each year so I can track what I am missing. Being able to re-tell stories is such a crucial skill!
Efficiency
Using new platforms, such as Word documents, to edit my work was one of the first obstacles I encountered as a first-generation student.
Feedback
Thanks to the professor's feedback, I was able to continue learning new skills, such as in-text citation, quotation, comma usage, and many others.
